My name is Mohsin Ali, and I am a fashion designer. I am basically from Quetta, now based in Lahore, and loving it.

What obstacles one usually face in early career?
The business perspective of fashion.

Which part of media is long-lasting and why?
Nothing last longer, you are as good as your last work! It’s a continuous war!

How does fashion industry affect our society?
Fashion is a lifestyle; it affects all aspects of life. The more it is fashionable, the better the society.

In your experience so far, is there anything you think could be missing?
Well there is always something or the other missing, that’s what keeps us going.

In your opinion how far our society is ready to accept big change in media?
I can’t say anything about that, but I must say that we should not forget who we are.

Does one require a proper qualification to enter designing?
You may have many degrees, but if you do not understand the science of the subject then degree is just a piece of paper.

How would you describe your experience so far in the fashion industry?
I have been treated and taken well, pleasant so far.

Tell us about your lifestyle?
Work, go out with friends, take life easy, and try to make it simpler.

What do you think about “beauty pageants”?
A good time pass after work hours.

Do you think we also need shows like who could be our “Next Top Model”?
I think we should, need to see some well groomed new fresh face.

What do you think is still lacking in your career?
There’s still a lot to do.

What is the most useful tip you have gained from this field?
Mind your own business and don’t get lost in the bling, focus!

Do you think we, can ever let the stereotypes leave our industry?
This industry is not so huge, live and let live.
